End of Month List: August 2021
It has been a year since I first published my first monthly round-up, and I currently am going through heavy nostalgia. For the recent ranking of my top blog posts, I revisited my oldest posts, and have seen how my blog has slowly improved. More senior bloggers, do you all go through this feeling when looking at your earlier posts?
That said, August was an incredible month. There were fewer highlights than normal, but all of them were incredible, with many growers, such as BDC's Moon Walker, Somi's Dumb Dumb, and Triple Seven's Presente.
K-Pop was overall the best this month, but Q-Pop, J-Rock, ABC pop, and many others released truly strong highlights. This result is one of my most diverse end-of-month lists in a while. From Verivery's solid mini-album (which I need to review soon) to mega-stars like The Weeknd, this was truly a diverse month.
My number five pick was particularly difficult, with a favorite Korean boy band, ONF, of mine dueling with one of the most popular international stars of the current day and age. In the end, I gave it to the American, but it was really close.
Unfortunately, while there were many highlights, many of which were mainstream, an equal amount of a-list artists, such as Stray Kids, utterly disappointed with their latest releases.
With such a diverse month, September has a lot to live up to. It will be hard though, for this August's line-up has only gotten better with age.

I love the clean version shout out! Anyway, the picks here are BASED. ONF being beaten by The Weeknd is a shocker for me but then again I really didn't play the song that much. It is one of those "I critically love the song but personally I don't know". I also need to catch up with the recent late August releases. The VERIVERY album is interesting and I haven't really listened to it but Trigger is my most played of August followed by Close Your Eyes.
ReplyDeleteI hope September is outstanding!
I only listen to clean versions lol. For Tiger JK, I also linked the clean version.
DeleteONF, Golcha, and The Weeknd were all extremely close, those three's order might change any time.
Verivery's new album is excellent. I plan on reviewing it tomorrow. However, Trigger is the best song by a good bit.
