Review: Just B - Get Away
Based on the two Yongguk-produced songs on Just B's debut EP, they are clearly intended to be the direct successors to B.A.P. This is best shown by b-side Get Away, which is clearly intended to be a direct successor to B.A.P's final few songs. You can even tell which member would sing which line.
As with Damage, the true star here is Lim Jimin. Many fans were sure that Yongguk was singing the staccato lines in the chorus, as well as all the chants. In reality, it is Lim Jimin. This debut EP has shown him as a versatile star.
Lyrically, the song is a reflection of effort and skill. This too is classic Yongguk and B.A.P, further showcasing the producer's influence on the track.
Musically, the stunning atmosphere is only assisted by the cascading guitar and dramatic strings. Once again, the choir from their debut single returns, and for great effect. During the bridge, a piano appears, adding to the atmosphere.
At the same time, the dance break pulls together for a clap-a-thon, with the rock beat creating an excellent build.
In the end, Get Away scratches that B.A.P itch excellently. It makes me even more excited to see where the band will go now.
I did not know this group or song. I tend to like classic kpop group such as DBSK and super Junior. I guess I am old. Thanks for sharing new group and songs to us.
