Don't Call Me Album Review: SHINee - Heart Attack

SHINee's new album is going to get a review for all of the songs. So buckle in and have fun.

Heart Attack would fit greatly as a b-side of the Misconceptions series of SHINee albums. It takes only a minute for the groove to fully start. The song also acts as a great showcase for SHINee's a-grade vocals.

This all culminates great in the chorus. I wish the chorus was more instant, but the vocal layering screams second-generation SM. I am a little surprised that Thomas Troelsen did not write this, as this is a style he totally used back in the late-2000s and early 2010s, even with SHINee.

The bridge is in particular classic SHINee. I just wish the second phase of the chorus (post-chorus) repeated more often. While slightly on the commercial end, Heart Attack is fun.

Rating: 8.5/10

  1. "I just wish the second phase of the chorus (post-chorus) repeated more often" This! It would've made the song even better and catchier. But a solid song nevertheless.
